India is using Afghanistan's soil for terrorism in Pakistan: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday has said that India is using soil of Afghanistan to carry out acts of terrorism in Pakistan in order to sabotage the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

Addressing the 24th convocation of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Lahore, Ahsan Iqbal said that significant development has taken place in the science and technology sectors in a short span of time by taking effective measures and prudent policies of the current government.

Talking to the media, the minister said demanding to hold elections before time is undemocratic. He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan is afraid of Senate election.

Ahsan Iqbal continued that government has evolved a strong strategy to curb terrorism and extremism and these menaces have been significantly countered by dint of concrete measures of the government.

Cross-border terrorism is taking place in Balochistan, he added.

The minister said no Muslim can compromise on the belief in the finality of the prophet hood and no organization should politicize this matter.
